Concord Projects is seeking an expert Coordinator for our Quality Assurance team to assist with post-construction warranty activities. Success in the role is defined by professional communication with the client, efficiently scheduling and monitoring subtrade work and preparing detailed, thorough documentation.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Coordinator will:

  • Participate in project turn over meetings where the warranty process is explained to the client.
  • Act as a point of contact to clients in the post-construction phase for warranty related inquiries and issues.
  • Prepare documents and assist in administration of all control processes, such as year end warranty process letters, warranty reporting techniques, and warranty site inspections with clients and respective consultants.
  • Assist in the post-construction phase with Construction Supervisors and Construction Managers to ensure outstanding construction deficiencies are completed.
  • Perform initial investigations of client-reported issues by visiting the site, observing the problem, collecting and documenting information for discussion with Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Schedule subtrade warranty work, ensuring subtrades are fulfilling their contractual obligations while maintaining a positive, productive relationship.
  • Assist in monitoring trades on site, report any concerns of labour, security, quality control, co-operation or lack of, to the Quality Assurance Manager for action.
  • Prepare purchase orders and track all warranty costs according to the project budget.
  • Monitor jobsite safety, report any infractions, accidents, or concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Coordinate with Accounting Manager, Construction Manager, Civil Engineer and City of Winnipeg for deposit inspections and refunds after project completion as needed.
  • Other post-construction and quality assurance projects and tasks to support Concord's commitment to quality and service.

Our next teammate has:

  • More than two years of related construction or warranty administration experience required. Basic commercial construction or building operation knowledge required.
  • Post-secondary studies in construction related field. Diploma or degree in civil engineering technology or construction management preferred.
  • Own transportation and a valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong information organization and problem solving skills.
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office 365 programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Microsoft Project skills would be an asset.
  • Some experience with information management systems or software, Procore experience would be an asset.
