Concord Projects is seeking a Field Technician to support our site teams on a variety of commercial construction projects. This hands-on role includes assisting with installations, material handling, general site support, and other construction tasks. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, able to work independently, and committed to completing assigned work to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

The Field Technician supports daily construction activities and helps maintain Concord Projects’ quality and safety standards. The role receives day-to-day direction from the Senior Field Technician or Construction Supervisor, with training and guidance from the Manager of Carpentry.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with backing, blocking, concrete preparation, and other construction-related site work.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of temporary protection, hoarding, fencing, signage, and guardrails.
  • Complete basic installations, including windows, doors, insulation, and other building components, with guidance as required.
  • Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and install materials based on drawings, specifications, or site direction.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, nailers, and other construction equipment.
  • Load, unload, move, organize, and prepare construction materials, tools, and work areas.
  • Mix, pour, spread, and prepare materials such as concrete or gypcrete.
  • Assist with demolition, material removal, and the sorting and organization of salvaged materials.
  • Assist with punch-list items, deficiency corrections, and project closeout work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, and report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents.

 

Additional Assets:

  • Experience operating skid steers, telehandlers, zoom booms, or lifts
  • Previous experience with window and door installation
  • Experience installing air/vapour barrier systems
  • Experience taking ownership of small construction tasks and completing them independently
