Concord has an opportunity for a skilled Project Coordinator to join our project team as the right-hand person to a Construction Supervisor and Construction Manager. The Coordinator will help plan, organize and keep the activities and execution of selected construction projects moving from site. They also support our Safety, Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs.

Coordinate Project Documentation - 75%

  • Lead the coordination of shop drawing reviews by prepopulating drawing list in Procore and assisting the Construction Supervisor by tracking shop drawing review progress. Update drawing files and link project changes and clarifications to the drawings in Procore.
  • Assist the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings.
  • Assist Construction Supervisors with Microsoft Projects troubleshooting, updating schedules and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain and organize up-to-date, accurate documents for the project including drawings, plans, submittals, document logs, purchase orders, etc.
  • Upload drawings to the relevant civic authority to satisfy permit requirements.
  • Prepare and participate in meetings with project team, consultants and subtrades including taking minutes, and distributing to participants.
  • Understands project milestones and financial deadlines to assists project team and keep others informed about status and potential project issues.
  • Provide technical office/software support to project team on Microsoft Products, Bluebeam and Procore.
  • Assist with providing final document turnover to client at completion of project.

Support Safety, Quality Control and Assurance - 25%:

  • Assist the project team to monitor the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, identifying issues on-site and in work scopes, and monitoring observation resolution progress for the Operations Manager.
  • Conduct basic safety inspections to identify, document and correct safety hazards, and training needs, and leading by example in safety practices and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum experience of one year experience (combined co-op terms, or full-time) on a construction project team in the field.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or Architectural Technology.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawing diagrams.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated approach to seeking out tasks and items to help teammates manage project workflow.
  • Some understanding of local building code requirements and safety legislation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Outlook, MS Projects, and Excel.
