Concord Projects is seeking a Skilled Labourer to support our carpenters and site teams on a variety of commercial construction projects. This hands-on role includes site support, material handling, and carpentry-related tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, takes pride in quality work, and is motivated to continue growing in construction and carpentry.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow in construction and carpentry
- Safety-focused and committed to maintaining a safe and organized job site
- Able to work well with a team and independently on assigned tasks
- Takes initiative and stays productive with limited supervision
- Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship
- Able to read and interpret drawings/blueprints and understand basic building practices
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience, preferably in commercial construction
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Key Responsibilities
The Carpenter Helper works closely with carpenters, supervisors, and site teams to support daily construction activities and help maintain Concord Projects’ quality and safety standards. Responsibilities may include:
- Complete site housekeeping and general site support duties
- Assist with material handling, organization, and work area preparation
- Support carpenters with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials
- Safely use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and nailers
- Read drawings, blueprints, and sketches to complete assigned tasks accurately
- Assist with wall framing and complete assigned tasks independently when required
- Install backing based on drawings or site direction
- Build and assemble concrete forms
- Assemble and install guardrails in accordance with safety requirements
- Help maintain a clean, productive, and well-organized job site
Additional Assets
The following would be considered assets:
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, zoom booms, or lifts
- Experience with window and door installation
- Experience installing air/vapour barrier systems such as 3M, Blue Skin, or Resisto
- Experience leading small tasks or crews and demonstrating leadership on site
